Water Loss Equipment

SERVPRO of East Riverside City uses air movers and dehumidifiers to dry out an area affected by a water loss. Different styles are used based on the environment of the affected area as well as the material being dried.

Air Movers blow dry air across wet surfaces to speed up the evaporation of moisture in the affected material. The faster air flows across a wet surface the faster the drying time. Our goal is an average drying time of three days.

Dehumidifiers produce dry air and remove moisture from the environment. The moisture removed flows through a tube and is removed from the affected area, usually into a nearby drain or bucket that is emptied regularly.
The higher the temperature of an area the higher the energy or movement of air molecules, which speeds up the movement of moisture in the material helping the moisture to evaporate.

During a water loss you then can expect a lot of noise from the equipment placed and the temperature of the affected area to be elevated.
