Moisture Mapping

The first step in caring for any water damage situation is to take moisture readings and do moisture mapping, this is done with a verity of tools that detect moisture. Any area that is saturated is marked and a sketch is made of each affected area. Based on these readings equipment is placed to dry out the material. Additional readings are then taken through out the drying process, usually three or four days, to ensure the material is properly dried.
